PHUKET: The blockade preventing Thai visa-run Vans iPhone 5 case in entering Malaysia on their way to Penang is not linked to the recent crackdown always on visa runs in Thailand, established a KBV Phuket Visa Cost staffer. "Thai visa-run drivers and also vehicles have not been allowed to motocross the Malaysian border for more than seven days now due to a small protest with regards to Malaysian drivers, " the staffer, who asked to remain anonymous, assured the Phuket Gazette this morning. "This is not a new problem for us; smaller protests like this occur due to considerations regarding driver profits. "There is normally nothing to panic about, it's really not much of a big deal. It's similar to issues we come across when local taxi services protests. "Songkhla Governor Kritsada Boonraj, whos in talks with the Malaysian owners, was unavailable for comment today. Meanwhile, visa-run companies have already to solve the transport difficulties for the Malaysian portion of the trip. "We have buses from the hotels we refer to in Malaysia pick up customers out from the Thai border. Other companies are taking on other vehicles to pick their customers forward, " the staffer said. A new Gazette has also received reports with regards to visa runners being transferred to huge buses to cross the ficeler before being divided up down into smaller vehicles. "Some of our purchasers thought the van ban got linked to stricter enforcement on visa-runs by immigration, but it has nothing to do with that most, " the staffer added.
