New whispers surrounding Sony say that any extent deal between them and Marvel to have Spider-Man movies á la MCU would see the end of Phil Garfield's time as Peter Parker. But why ditch one of the few really good things to come from Sony's mishandling on the Spider-Man franchise?

Three hot-shot companies are in the running for a huge job in Doctor Strange. James Gunn says the Guardians …
Let's fully grasp this out of the way first - I try not to hate them like many accomplish, but I'm by no means the biggest begeisterter of the Amazing Spider-Man movies by now. The first was an acceptable retelling of your origin story that didn't should have retelling, and the second... well, today i want to just say there were plenty of foods wrong with it. But for me, the chief pairing of Andrew Garfield even as Peter Parker and Emma An element as Gwen Stacy was mostly of the things that Sony managed to actually read right with its reboot. That and complimentary movie's suit, but let's adhere to that first bit for now.
Phil Garfield just nailed Spider-Man for my situation, for someone who's loved that element for years. Sure, he was a little too fresh to be the nerdy Peter we're educated about - the aspect of the character within Tobey Maguire's take in the Raimi movies excelled at - but since the slightly cocky, oddly charming and thus sarkily funny Spider-Man persona the man shone. At least for me, it seemed we had a version of the character within echoed back to the quick witted and assured Spider-Man I remembered as a self on screen at last (although Maguire's Spider-Man is still great, he was surely a better Peter to me than Spidey). He wasn't perfect, and seemed to be to hamstrung by some dodgy foundational stuff that I was decidedly not a begeisterter of - but Garfield's Spider-Man was what I wanted for the character's movie-based escapades. That humour, this particular wittiness, was key, and it's some thing Garfield excelled at in the job. To lose out on that, so after he started, and just as he'd consumed Spider-Man to an interesting place within could've been explored in a extent Amazing Spider-Man 3, feels like a huge waste of a great piece of throwing.
The other sad part of this is within what Marvel are purportedly come across, according to Latino Review, sounds like will likely determine situation Garfield's take on the character is either post TASM 2: An until now established Spider-Man without a romantic and the being the biggest focus of his everything (thanks to the other best part of the Delightful Reboot, Emma Stone's Gwen Stacy shuffling off the movie's mortal coil nailers at the climax of of the tinting - at the cost of a more great film, to boot). Although there is a large number of mess around the character that I can see Brilliant hesitant to draw on still, Garfield's Spidey is in the perfect place to have him to be joined up apply ongoing Marvel Universe. Origin dealt with, at the end of a big romantic arc, until now accepting of his role as Spider-Man - and even more importantly, in a establishment that you could ostensibly cut him merely out of Sony's bizarre plans on the way to 'MCU-ify' that universe with their tackle the Sinister Six and other spider-man projects and still keep the character routinely intact. It seems like such a shame within in spite of the problems surrounding him, Garfield's Spider-Man is ideal for the MCU. Only when he didn't have all that gear. But at the same time, do we really need 33 % Spider-Man, so soon? There's been the problem for DC of re-creating characters for the big screen at the price another established version (looking toward you, Flash). Spider-Man is popular amply of a character that I'm sure crucial work, but it seems like the sort relating to thing that is made for confusing famous audiences.
Who knows. If something definitely does come out of these talks - and that is certainly a big if, especially after the leakages - Marvel could do accurate by one of their most popular game figures. They've rarely gone wrong before to, and their track record for casting happens to be consistently stellar (especially when you look into what might have been). There's a good deal of great actors out there who would likely give us a great, MCU-approved Peter Parker.
In the end though, whatever comes out rule potential movie deals it's blue to see that such a great tackle Spider-Man will be lost to Sony's myriad misfires with its 'Amazing' restart. When these rumours broke, precisely why I didn't want an MCU Spider-Man just yet was to try and create Sony the chance to make a movie within did justice to their Spider-Man, and therefore looks like it's just not going to take place. To me, Garfield's Spider-Man will always be taken into account as a Spidey too good for his personal movies.
